Marie Isaacson's Obituary
Marie (Riele) Isaacson December 3, 1927 – August 17, 2018Marie was born in Oakland California above the restaurant that her mother’s family owned. Her early years were spent on the ranch in Palomares Canyon that her father’s family owned in Castro Valley California. She rode her donkey bunny to school each day. Marie worked many jobs over the years from waitress at the family owned Garibaldi Tamale Restaurant, Oakland Army base, a butcher in Oakland and finally retiring as a cook from Care West in San Leandro. For many years she was very active in Palomares and Alameda county 4-H program, as 4-H leader, she was a Barn supervisor, camp cook and wherever she was needed she would step in. She loved to travel with her best pal Gracie. They went on many cruises and trips to places around the world. Marie loved to dance whether it was a polka or country line dance she loved it all.She is survived by her son Danny (Marsha) Cusumano daughter Laurie (Greg) Isaacson, her beloved grandson Danny (Nova) Cusumano and cherished great granddaughter Olivia, and great grandson Johnny, her brother Sal (Carol) Riele Marie was preceded in death by her parents Laurie and Madeline Riele and her husband Ike Isaacson. Family and Friends are invited to the viewing on September 5, 2018 from 5pm -9 pm with a vigil at 7 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes located at 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA 94544.
