Maria Teresa Poquez Del Rosario's Obituary
Maria Teresa Poquez Del Rosario, 57, of Fremont, went home to God on March 25, 2021. She was a woman of deep faith who never faltered in her trust in God through all her trials.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Ramon Del Rosario, her two sons, Jan Irvin Staana and his wife Molly, and Jericho Sta Ana, daughter, Diana Del Rosario, and a grandchild, Zander Staana.
She is also survived by her mother, Ofelia Poquez and her brother Amado Roquez, his wife Rita, four nieces and their spouses, and three great nephews and two great nieces. She has a large extended family of relatives in the US and the Philippines.
Tess was born in Pangasinan, the Philippines, to Amado Senior and Ofelia Poquez, on October 30, 1963. She studied business administration at Rizal Technological College. She met Ramon at work and they fell in love. Ramon had already started his father’s petition to move and become a citizen of the U.S. Even with the challenges of a very long distance relationship, their love continued to grow and they were married a few years later. Once married, Ramon petitioned his new bride and son Irvin to join him in the U.S. And later their son Jericho and Tess’s mother Ofelia joined them.
As they were starting their life in the United States, they were blessed with a little girl. They named her Diana in honor of Princess Diana who they loved and admired. Tess treasured raising her children and her dreams came true when her family was united in the U.S. One more dream came true for Tess when she became a grandmother to Zander. She loved cooking for her family and celebrating the holidays with them. She brought joy to all around her. All that met her instantly liked her and felt her warmth. She was a truly caring person who shared her love and kindness with all. She loved her whole family and gave them all she had to give until the very end. She will be so greatly missed and the memory of her loving ways will shine brightly in all our hearts.
