Maria Elena Castro aka Pumpkin, 73, of Union City, passed away August 20, 2018.She was born in Oakland, Ca on May 29,1945. She received her GED and 2 Associates degrees in Insurance from Chabot College.She was divorced and had a long time companion Rudy G. for over 25 years.Maria/Pumpkin worked a career in Insurance for 37 years with her last company Salsbury & Associates retiring 2018.She was a member of Toastmasters Association and had a passion for spending time with her family, reading and old movies.She is survived by her children, Manuel, Timothy, Michael and Melanie, grandchildren, Jesus, Angelica, Javier, Austin, Dylan, Ethan, Emily, Damian, Jerred, Nailani, Emiliano, Trey and One on the way 1/2019, 8 brothers/ 4 sisters. Funeral arrangements will be held at 12:00 pm, October 12, 2018, at St Clements Church.
