Maria C Campos' Obituary
María Campos. born in 1912. An orphan child. Had two older siblings, Rosa and Alberto whom both passed at the young age of 96. Maria always adventurous and fun, left her native country of El Salvador in 1955 to settle in the state of Louisiana. There, she was joined years later by her beloved niece Marina Nelson whom she loved dearly as her own daughter. They lived together for a long time and both relocated to California in 1963. The majority of Maria’s family are descendants of Rosa Campos, thus she was lovingly called “tia Maria.” As the only remaining member of her generation, the family quickly adopted her as the grandmother. Her role as a grandmother fitted her perfectly. She loved spending holidays and cooking for the family. Celebrating thanksgiving holiday was always a treat to her; and she and the Recinos’ nieces enjoyed and loved each other’s company.María lived a long, healthy and full life and the family is so blessed to have had her this long. She used to say that her happiness and wholesomeness came later in life. She found Christ and with Christ came her beloved church and church community. The secret to her long life was: Jesus, family and church. The Family is forever grateful to those who loved and cared for María, including her two caregivers, Ana Berta and Milagros.Tía María, todos los que te cuidamos en tus ultimas días, te demostramos nuestro infinito amor.
