Margaret McRoberts Meier's Obituary
MARGARET YULE MEIER, age 81, entered into rest at her San Leandro home on December 13, 2001. Marge was the loving and precious wife of Paul G. Meier, Sr., caring and devoted mother of one daughter, Janet Tyler of Livermore and three sons, Paul G. Meier, Jr. of San Leandro, David Meier of Suisun and Mark Meier of San Leandro. She was the younger sister of William Yule of Alameda. Marge cherished her grandchildren. She was the grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 2.Marge was born in Glasgow, Scotland and moved to the United States as a child. She worked at Montgomery Ward in Oakland as a clerk, Lyons Van and Storage in San Leandro as an office clerk and worked throughout the San Leandro School District as a part-time secretary.Marge was a member of the LAMPHER PHI SIGMA girls club, from high school, continuing to meet until recent health conditions limited her activity. She was a choir member of the Centennial Church in Oakland and, after moving to San Leandro, the First Christian Church. She was a den mother for San Leandro Cub Scout Pack 555. Marge loved to crochet, enjoyed listening to music and, until recent health conditions, loved to dance. She was a cute, adorable little lady who loved taking care of her family.Marge requested Cremation at the Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Family and friends are invited to a Service celebrating her life on Wednesday, December 19, 2001, 2:00 p.m. at Dick's Restaurant Banquet Room, 3188 Alvarado in San Leandro.
