Margaret Louise Killough's Obituary
Mom received her angel wings on August 7, 2020. She is preceded in death by the love of her life John, they were married for 66 years before he went to be with our Lord, they lived in Hayward for 60 years. Mom kissed dad’s picture every night before bedtime and in the morning.
She is preceded in death by her son Dennis, grandson Scott, sisters Pat, Mary, Anna, Kay, Loretta ("The Patterson Sisters") and brother Bob. Mom was born in Spokane, Washington her family moved to Portland, Oregon, then the family moved on to Alameda California where she attended school and graduated Alameda High. Married John, which she met at a USO dance on Treasure Island.
She is survived by her two loving sons, Craig (Cindy) and Stephen, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews.
Mom loved to bake chocolate chip cookies and giving them to the postman and neighbors. She enjoyed her many beautiful flowers and roses in her yard, music, dancing and traveling. Loved to visit the sisters, shopping and going to lunch. Mom worked for National Can Company in San Leandro for over 30 years and enjoyed her job.
She lived in Manteca, CA for the past 7 years she loved to socialize with all the Staff and residence they all knew about the Patterson Clan and the Killough family and her life- long friends. Her favorite saying was "Shake it don't break It." She was always appreciative of all the Staff at Union Commons who helped her in Assisted Living and in Memory Care.
We will hold all our special memories of Mom dear to our hearts. Until we meet again, we will miss your smile and laughter
In Lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate a donation to The Alzheimer's Association.
