Margaret Bayliss' Obituary
MARGARET R. BAYLISS MARGARET R. BAYLISS 1940-2007 A Hayward native and graduate of Hayward High passed away April 13, 2007 from cancer of the pancreas. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Bayliss (97); beloved brother, Ted Bayliss; life-partner, Nancy Strange; and daughter, Sherri. Her airline career included Frontier Airlines, Bonanza, Hughes Air West, and World Airways. Positions ranged from ticket counter to reservations, to systems manager. A natural athlete, Marge could play all positions. Her softball career included the Alameda Peppers, San Pablo’s Pabloettes, Pittsburg Travelers, Berkeley’s Clefs, Redwood City’s Jets, Santa Clara’s Laurel’s, Los Gato’s Wildcats, and the Bay City Bandits which she also coached to the Nationals in both Michigan and Texas. Marge also coached the Poison Ivy’s age 10 and under in the San Lorenzo Softball League. She will be missed by her colleagues at Miller Meat, Ocean World, Tiffany’s Pet Grooming, her neighbors, and all who knew her. Her hobbies included Oakland A’s memorabilia, A’s Booster Club, car restoration, pet sitting and gardening.
