Manuel Ambrose Parras Sr.'s Obituary
Manuel Ambrose Parras, Sr. 68, a longtime resident of the Bay Area for over 40 years, entered into rest in Antelope, CA on Monday, April 15, 2002. He was born in Albuquerque, NM on January 1, 1934. He was passionate for golf and was a retired carpenter after 45 years of respected work in the Bay Area. A veteran of the Marine Corp and served during the Korean Conflict. He loved his family and his grandchildren especially. He enjoyed listening to music specifically Jazz and the Blues. He is survived by his children, Vanessa Ortiz of Hayward, Manuel A. Parras, Jr. of Antelope and Leonard E. Parras of Tracey. Son of Louis Parras, Sr. and Cora Parras of Alameda. Brother of Rosella Vander Haak of Albuquerque; Louis Parras, Jr. and Frank Parras both of Albuquerque; Mel Parras and Robert Parras both of Alameda. He was preceded in death by is wife, Christina Parras and his brother, Orlando Parras.Family and friends may visit on Sunday, April 21, 2002 from 5:30 to 8:30PM in the Mission Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, Hayward. A funeral service will be held at 10:30AM, Monday, April 22, 2002 in the Mission Chapel of Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, Ca 94544.
