Manuel Augausto Maseda's Obituary
Manuel A Maseda
66 years old , of Livermore, California, passed away on 02/20/2023.
Manny was born to parents George and Caridad Maseda, in New York.
After a short time in New York, his family moved to the San Francisco Bay Area. Manny was raised in the small suburban city of Fremont California and later made his home in Union City California and then Livermore. He graduated from Irvington High school in 1975 and studied art at Ohlone College.
Manny worked for Genuine Parts Distributors (a subsidiary of Ford) in sales for many years and then as auto body shop estimator until his death. He was known as Mr. Reliable at his place of employment.
He enjoyed cars (Fords, in particular). He liked to work on them, drive them, repair them as well as attending car shows, car races and boat races. Some of his other interests included music, dancing, Oakland A's games and Oakland Raiders football. He enjoyed grilling, movies, traveling, watching favorite shows with his son and 805 Beer. But most of all Manny loved his family and friends. This is just a small piece of a beautiful life of a wonderful man.
Manny is survived by his son Matthew Maseda, Daughter in-law Yessica Nuno, Granddaughter Harper, Ex-wife Jackie Peters and her family, Brother George Maseda, Sister in-law Michele and their family. He was also loved by cousins, nephews, nieces, godchildren and friends. He was especially loved by his Granddog, Chewy.
A memorial service to honor his life will take place at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward, California on Saturday March 18, 2023 from 12pm-1:30pm. All are welcome.
