Unfortunately my real relationship with my father Manuel did not start until he collapsed in his home on October 21st, 2010. In the next 5 months that followed I became very close with Manuel-my father. I came to truly know and love this humbled man. Thinking of all the pain and suffering my father endured including the trips to emergency and the constant pain he complained of in his stomach I can only accept his death knowing he is no longer suffering. He is with God now, completely free of pain, doctor�s appointments and hospitals. He is walking freely without the aid of his walker and without the pain in his hands or back he so often complained of.
