NAME: Manucher Pejman CITY AND STATE OF RESIDENCE: San Ramon, California DATE OF DEATH: April 22, 2014 AGE (AT TIME OF DEATH): 102 PLACE OF DEATH: Villa San Ramon Assisted Living DATE OF BIRTH: March 14, 1912 CITY AND STATE OF BIRTH: Rasht, IranManucher Pejman, our loving father, grandfather and friend, peacefully passed away on April 22, 2014. He is re-united with his beloved wife, Batool Pejman, who passed away a few years ago.With his passing, he is missed dearly, but he leaves behind every reason for us to celebrate the lasting memories of his zestful life of 102 years…..how his eyes would brighten up every time he was in the company of people…..how he would energize our gatherings.He loved traveling with friends and family, and he was the best travel companion you could ask for, making every trip joyful and memorable……and that was no different in the journey of his life.We know him as a person who would welcome any excuse to be around those he loved, and sometimes that excuse would be disguised as an invitation to a game of backgammon. Those of us who made a mistake of accepting his challenge for a round of backgammon, would learn several hours later, how to endure in the face of defeat! That was the only time we’d see him being boastful about his achievement.He will be remembered by all who came to know him, as a man of unwavering integrity who cherished humanity and friendship. He was a self made and determined man. Having lost his parents at childhood, with the help of his eldest brother, he managed to put himself through the German vocational school in Tehran and developed a lifelong successful career as a banker. Through it all, he never forgot those who helped him along the way and he made sure to reciprocate every kindness he received.May his soul rest in eternal peace.
