Magdalena Pascual's Obituary
Magdalena “Nena” Dumlao Pascual, 91, peacefully passed away in Hayward, CA and was called back home by our heavenly Father on January 9, 2023. She was born on January 27, 1931 in Tarlac, Philippines.
Magdalena was born and raised in the city of Tarlac along with her 7 siblings. She grew up to be a wonderful homemaker and a savvy business woman while running her family’s store. This caught the eye of one Gelacio Pascual, a military soldier who was stationed in Camp O’Donnell near her store. He often visited her when he was off duty.
They were wed on October 6, 1946. Magdalena and Gelacio shared their lives and love for 74 years.
Magdalena was a kind, loving, and compassionate individual who was generous beyond measure. Her great passions in life were cooking for her loved ones and being hospitable to anyone who entered her home. The expression “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” is a principle she took to heart as she embodied that practice daily. Even after suffering many obstacles in her life, she still maintained her strength and faith in God as she was a devout Catholic. She was the type of person who gave all her energy and love to her family, always putting them first before herself. She found joy in simple beautiful things such as fragrant perfume scents, but her ultimate happiness laid in seeing her family thrive, from her children to her great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sister Norma, her children Benigno, Ruffo(+), Arnel, Editha, and Leila, and their spouses Lily, Aleli, Marilyn, Romeo, and Leo. Her grandchildren Jinky, Mark, Alvin, Elaine, Ted, Kim (+) Raquel, Blossom, Paulo, Ryann, and Katrina, and their spouses Cherry, Kanoe, Mario, Joan, Chase, Sarah, Shaunthele, and Michael. Her great grandchildren Ayna, Dale, Kady, Kaylen, Logan, Mariell, Kepa, Jacob, Kaneao, Nawai, Izaiah, Devynn, Ziah, Ronin, Kristian, and Lennon.
Condolences may be sent to the Pascual Family.
