Mae Lee's Obituary
Mae Lee, beloved to her children Joyce, Jeanette and Daniel, as well as many loved ones, passed away on May 26th, 2023 at the age of 86. Our hearts are full as we announce the loss of a remarkable woman whose life touched and inspired many.
Born in Canton, China, Mae embarked on a journey filled with love and dedication to her husband, Wah, and raising a family in Los Angeles. She approached life with kindness and generosity that defined her character. She would become known as “Mama Lee” to all those who had the privilege of meeting and knowing her.
Mae’s memory will be cherished by her adult children, grandchildren and loved ones who find comfort in the knowledge that she is at peace with Wah, who preceded her in death. She will forever be remembered for sharing her passion on Chinese culture, playing mah-jong, making new friends, or being a friend to those in need. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. She prided herself in raising her children to have careers in healthcare and making a positive difference in people's lives.
In the latter stages of her life, she developed a close bond with her “extended family” at the Aegis Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Fremont. We will be forever grateful to the excellent care and love provided by the staff.
Friends, family, and all whose lives were touched by her are invited to attend and pay their respects.
As we celebrate Mae’s transition from this life, we will remember the visits, the walks, the trips to the salon for her mani-pedis, the conversations in Chinglish about life, and so much more. We are comforted in knowing that Mae is destined for eternal peace and rest, knowing her memory will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
