Madelyn C. Pasion's Obituary
Madelyn (Cruz) Pasion, 69, passed away in Fremont, California, on January 11, 2020, with her family by her side.
She was born in the Philippines on May 29, 1950, to the late Simplicio and Amparo Cruz. She attended the University of Santo Tomas where she obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Madelyn married the love of her life, Celestino "Reggie" Pasion on July 16, 1980. Soon after, the newlyweds migrated to the San Francisco Bay Area, where they would grow a family of their own. Madelyn became the proud mother of four children. Aside from being a loving wife and mother, Madelyn successfully balanced a profession working in Quality Assurance for Genentech in support of research for cancer treatments. Her dedicated career lasted for over 20 years. She was a kind, family-oriented, and faithful servant of the Lord. Madelyn spent several years volunteering as a Eucharistic Minister and also supported church fundraisers. Madelyn's family and friends can attest that she was warm, selfless, and genuine.
Madelyn is survived by her husband, Celestino "Reggie" Pasion; children, Melissa Pasion, Melanie Castro (Rocky), Cromwell Pasion, Marlianne Asuncion (Jason); and her five grandchildren, Maui Asuncion, Maci Asuncion, Miles Castro, Megan Asuncion, and Mason Castro.
