Lydia Petersen's Obituary
Lydia H. Petersen 12/23/1912 to 5/30/2009 Age 96 Resident of Fremont Lydia passed away peacefully after a month long battle with pneumonia. Her husband Wesley and her oldest son John predeceased her. Her son Dale, his wife Dell, her daughter-in-law Linda, her brother Bob and her sister Anita survive her. She was a loving grandmother to Jeff & Eric. Lydia was born in Farrar, Missouri, one of 9 children. She moved to California in the 1930s, was married in 1941 and settled down as a homemaker. She and Wesley were members of National Federated Craft and officers in the local PTA. Lydia was an active member in Bethel Lutheran Church, San Francisco and Prince of Peace Lutheran church, Fremont. Lydia will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Please join the family for services honoring Lydia’s life at Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA. 94544. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 8, 2009 from 5:00 – 8:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran church Chapel of the Chimes 510-471-3363
