Luis Lozano Cortez August 16, 1929- lived life- June 24, 2006Luis Lozano Cortez has succumbed to cancer. He leaves a loving wife of 55 years, Olivia Rita Cortez; daughters, Mary Cortez, Diana Salas (Ronald), Rebecca Lopez (Marty); and only son, John Daniel Cortez (Sissy); 9 grandchildren, 2 great-granddaughters, his only sister, Guadalupe Strever, many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Luis was born in San Antonio, Texas . He served in the US Army. He resided in Alaska, Texas, and California . He was involved with Marriage Encounter and the American Cancer Survivor Support Group. He led a full life, had a lasting marriage, and was full of love, laughter and was a giving man. Family and friends are invited to the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32292 Mission Blvd. Hayward, CA, to attend the visitation on Wednesday, July 5, 5:30-8:30 PM with a Rosary and Vigil at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, July 6, 10:00 AM at OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY, 703 C Street at Sixth Street, Union City.
