Luis C Cardera's Obituary
Luis C. Cardera May 30, 1920 to Aug. 31, 2011 Resident of Hayward Luis C. Cardera was born in Puerto Rico on May 30, 1920 and came to the US in 1937. He departed this life August 31, 2011 surrounded by all his loving children. He was preceded by his loving wife Chana. He served in the Army during World War II. He is survived by his six children. Lydia(Richard) Ortega, Mary Luperine, James Cardera, Shirley (Paul) Helm, Irene (Tony) Lopstain and Raul (Tina) Cardera. He has 15 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren & 4 great- great grandchildren. He lived in Alameda County for 74 years and worked for American Can Co for 35 yrs. He enjoyed his retirement with his family and friends. He was an avid SF Giants fan & was happy to see them win the World Series. We would like to express our deepest thanks to the personnel at Vitas Hospice Care for their great care of our father. Services will be at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward CA 94544. The viewing will be Tuesday, September 6th from 6pm to 9pm. Burial will be Wednesday, September 7th at 10am.
