Lucy Garcia Iniguez's Obituary
Lucy Garcia Iniguez was born on June 18, 1937 in Stockton, CA, daughter of Refugia and Delphino Garcia. She passed away on October 1, 2022, and is preceded in death by her beloved husband Ramon Iniguez, parents and siblings, Lina, Tillie, Mike, Antonio, Esmeralda, Mary, Delphino, Frank and Guillermo.
Lucy is survived by her seven children, Ramon, Jr., Delia, Christina, Gilbert, Daniel, David and Louis. Also, sixteen grandchildren: Elysa, Cathryn, Gabriela, Anthony, Jacob, Maureen, Krista, Miranda, David, Jr.,Christiana, Maria, Alicia, Jose, Armando, Angelica and Veronica; and, by her younger brother, Jose Garcia along with many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She grew up in a large, close-knit family and enjoyed her younger years spending time with her parents, nine siblings and cousins.. She was strong, hard working, independent and loved to cook, sing and dance. She met the love of her life, Ramon at the young age of 17 and they were married soon after.
Lucy was a retired manager from the Department of Motor Vehicles who loved spending family time with her loved ones. She loved cooking extra large meals for her big family gatherings and her chicken enchiladas, arroz Mexicano, tamales, menudo and potato salad were always a fan favorite. She was happy, active, social and also valued her great friendships she had until she passed on. She enjoyed her exercise workouts and luncheons, talks and coffee with her besties Jackie and Marie.
