Lucille Almeida Yuen's Obituary
Lucille Almeida Yuen, age 99, a long-time resident of Hayward, California, passed away November 23rd, 2019. She was born in Koloa, Kauai on April 8th, 1920.Lucille worked as a seamstress and managed the linen department for St. Rose Hospital from the time it opened in 1962 until she retired over 30 years later.She was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a true matriarch – her humor, will, and strength was and will continue to be an inspiration to the three generations she leaves behind.She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, William Yuen; son, Rodney Yuen; daughter, Lou Ann Cronen; and two grandchildren, Lori Ann Lane and Robert Cronen.Lucille is survived by three daughters and two son-in-laws, Nancie Lambert (James), Willette Heimbigner (Harold), and Lani Stalun; seven grandchildren and their spouses, Stephen Yuen, Christopher Heimbigner (Asja), David Heimbigner (Megan), Becki Heimbigner, Jeffrey Stalun, Jason Stalun, and Matthew Stalun; and three great-grandchildren, Kai Heimbigner, Nakona Heimbigner, and Kanoa Heimbigner.Her funeral service will be held at 1pm, December 3rd, 2019, at Chapel of the Chimes, Hayward.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Tony La Russa’s Animal Rescue Foundation, https://www.arflife.org/, or your local animal shelter would be gratefully appreciated
