Lucille Carr's Obituary
Lucille Carr died peacefully on January 18, 2018 in Roseville, CA where she resided the past two years. Prior to moving to Roseville, she lived in San Francisco and the East Bay for over seventy years.A private graveside service was held on January 25, at the Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park, Hayward, California. The Officiant was her nephew, Rev. C. S. Gordon JR, Pastor of the New Zion Baptist Church in New Orleans, LA.Lucille was the much-loved matriarch of five generations. She is dearly missed by her only child, Barbara Young, her granddaughter Latricia (Dan) Nicholson and grandson Ronald A. Young, her great-grandson Montique (Courtney) Williams, her great-granddaughters Brittany (Stefan) Lewis, Ronda Young and her great-great grandchildren, Erron, Christian, Ronald N., Jaelyn, Nathaniel E., Skylar and Sidney. She was predeceased by one great-grandson, Nathaniel L., in 2005. She also leaves to mourn nephews, nieces, cousins (including one first cousin aged 99 years old) and a host of dear friends.A memorial service to celebrate Lucille’s life will be held at South Bay Community Church in Fremont, CA on March 3, 2018 at 11:30 AM with Pastor Emeritus Stanley B. Long, officiating.The family requests no flowers. In lieu of flowers please donate to your favorite charity in memory of Lucille Carr.
