LUCIA CALANTOG's Obituary
Lucia “Viring” Arviola Calantog was born on April 10, 1924 in Naic, Cavite, Philippines and passed away on June 26, 2014.When she married her husband Feliciano Calantog she owned a little store next to their house selling little things like candies, soft drinks in plastic bags, sugar, rice, vinegar etc. to her neighbors down the street and just people passing by.She always loved to cook. When Lucia and Feliciano got their first house in Daly City, CA she would always cook for her loved ones and whoever would stop by the house. The two foods that everyone would know she cooked were her delicious pansit and sweet ube.In her down time she likes to read the Philippine newspaper, and play cards, watch Price is Right, Jeopardy, and Wheel of Fortune with her grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Mercedes (Lito) Agbuya, Ladislao (Maricar) Calantog, Teresita (Abet) Poblete, Adelida (Pete) Zarate, Avelina (Al) Galang, Julieta (Michael) Carluen, and Teodora (Apollo) Gapal; and her grandchildren, Justine, Atlee, Alden, Brandon, Adrienne, Arielle, Nikko, Marcus, Peter, Allen, Arlyn, Matthew, Jacqueline, Casey and AJ. Preceded in death by her parents and husband Feliciano.Her funeral service will be held on August 9, 2014 at 9:30 at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward.
