Lourdes Bean's Obituary
Lourdes 'Lu' Bean March 4, 1912 ' October 11, 2006 Lourdes passed away peacefully in Pleasant Hill, CA on October 11, 2006. She was born in San Leandro, CA where she resided until 2002. Lourdes moved to Danville in 2003 and to Pleasant Hill in 2004. She was married to William Brown in 1934, with whom she had two devoted children, Marlene Hughes of Magalia, CA and Robert Brown of Diablo, CA. Lourdes was later married to Walter Bean on December 5, 1947 and traveled extensively throughout the world with him until his death in 1983. She and Walter had a daughter together, Pati Bean of Tacoma, WA. Lourdes loved traveling, baking, slot machines, crocheting, puzzles, and people. She is survived by her three children, 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Heart Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA 94010. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life on Monday, October 16, 2006 at 1:30 pm in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 32992 Mission Blvd. Hayward. 510-471-3363
