LOUISE E. SKAGGS LOUISE E. SKAGGS Passed away peacefully in her home in Castro Valley, surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 1, 2007, after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was 92 years old and was born in Malden, Mass., November 11, 1914. Beloved wife of the late Rodney W. Skaggs. Loving mother of Gerald Skaggs and his wife, Linda of Brentwood and Donald Skaggs and his wife, Cheryl of Arena, WI. Cherished grandmother of Keele, Sandy, Matthew and Brandon and great-grandmother of Jenna, Krista, Morgan, Michael, Nicholas, and Landon. She is survived by her sister, Catherine. She is preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers. Survived by four grandchildren, Keele Winter of Antioch, CA, Sandy Quezada of Pleasanton, CA, Matthew Skaggs of Fremont, CA and Brandon Skaggs of Dublin, CA; 6 grandchildren, Jenna Winter, Krista Winter, Morgan Winter, Nicolas Quezada, Landon Quezada and Michael Quezada Louise was a knitting-mill stitcher and homemaker and was married to her loving husband, Rodney for 58 years. Rodney and Louise traveled the world for 30 years during Rodney’s military career and they settled in Castro Valley in 1963 and she lived there for 47 years. Mom always found the good in life, always smiled and loved to spend time with her family and friends. Louise will be remembered for her kind and gentle nature to everyone she ever met. Her friendships were life-long and were most important to her. A memorial service will be held at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward in the Mission Chapel, 2:00 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2007.
