Louis Adolf Pauselius' Obituary
Louis Adolf Pauselius passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Less than one week after he had celebrated his 90th birthday with all of his beloved family and friends surrounding him. He had been serenaded by Elvis, ate some of his favorite foods, and enjoyed being in the midst of his family. Louis was born in Indonesia, later moving to Holland and then to the United States to reside in San Leandro, California with his beautiful wife, Kitty, and their six children. Louis was a hard-working and talented man who enjoyed painting and playing badminton. He painted many beautiful landscapes and several portraits of Elvis. He also wrote a book about life in Indonesia during WWII and the outbreak of the Indonesian revolution. Louis was very active in the Dutch-Indonesian community and enjoyed sharing his culture with others, Louis was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty Pauselius and daughter, Linda (Pauselius) Dobbins. He is survived by Werner and Anne Pauselius, Frank and Kim Pauselius, Mike and Laurie Pauselius, Ingrid Pauselius, and Iris Pauselius; all of the Bay Area. He also leaves behind his son-in-law, Mike Dobbins and many grandchildren: Heather (Dobbins) and Kevin Brelsford of Texas, Jason and Tina Dobbins of New Hampshire, Wendy (Dobbins) and Mitch Plehn of Arizona, Keven Pauselius, Nicole (Pauselius) and Lance Graf, Joshua Pauselius, Holland Pauselius, Joseph and Alisha Pauselius, Derek Pauselius and Grazy Kotovicz also residing in the Bay Area and great-grandchildren: Angee, Ryan, Avery, Hadley, Avery, Mia, Mason, Mikayla, Kyle, Christiana, Michael and Jaida.He also leaves behind relatives in Holland and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 5th, 2019 at 11:00am at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.
