I did this once, let's see if it takes it this time. Lou Maiwald was my biological father. However, he didnt want to be a father. He asked his children and grandchildren to call him Unc Lou, where's the honor in that? We refused to call him that. He was raised in an alcoholic, dysfunctional, family. We found out in letters from his father and mother.
His children lived with great pain, from the the things that were said, and actions, never taken.
Yes, I loved him unconditionally. I hope he loved the best he could. My tears fall, for the father, he could've been.
