LORRAYNE C. NICKELS LORRAYNE C. NICKELS Lorrayne passed away January 31, 2007 in Hayward, CA. She was 86 years old. A native of Henry, South Dakota, she has been in California for the past 63 years. Lorrayne is survived by her loving husband, Ronald “Nick” Nickels; and brother, Ray VanSickle of Henry, South Dakota. Preceded in death by brother, Lee VanSickle, of Watertown, South Dakota; son, Gary Nickels; and daughter, Pamela Nickels. Surviving children, Gerald Nickels of Manteca, Ron Nickels of Livermore, Kathy Tietjen of San Lorenzo, and Dale Nickels of Hayward; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Lorrayne was an avid bingo player, playing as much as 7 days a week in earlier days and still playing every Sunday with daughter Kathy. Family and friends are invited to the CHAPEL OF THE CHIMES MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA, on Tuesday, February 6, 2007, for the Graveside Service at 10:30 a.m., with visitation from 9:30 a.m.until time of service.
