Lorraine G. Treiber's Obituary
Lorraine G. Treiber, 79, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2001 at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. She was born on January 12, 1922 in Newark, New Jersey. She was a resident of Oakland for 53 years. She was the President of Women's Missionary Ministry at Grace Church. Her hobby and ministry was crocheting. She crocheted hundreds of blankets, etc. and sent them to Veterans, friends and even to other countries. Among her favorite things to do she was spending time with her church family. She was always involved in service to God in her church, Lewelling Community Church, formerly Haven of Rest Church. She and her beloved husband, Fred, spent many hours together enjoying short trips to their favorite places in Northern California. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Dale J. Dano, a sister, Anna DeGeso a brother, Charles Marcell and a grandson, Elliott Meier. She is survived by her beloved husband of 61 years, Frederick J. Treiber of Oakland, California. She was survived by her loving daughters, Diane & Raymond Ringer of Forney, Texas and Leslie Treiber of San Leandro, California. She also leaves behind a dear sister, Audrey Merilucci of New Jersey. She has 4 beautiful and wonderful grandchildren, Marcella Jones and F. Wesley Ringer of Forney, Texas, Eric and Justin Meier of San Leandro, California. She also leaves behind 4 very special great-grandchildren, Chad and Amanda Jenkins, Chelsea Jones and BradWesley Ringer all of Forney, Texas.Family and Friends are invited to attend a Visitation on Sunday, December 23, 2001 from 5:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 24, 2001 at 12 noon at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home - Reflection Chapel with Interment to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial Park; 32992 Mission Boulevard, Hayward, CA 94544.The family has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be sent in her memory to Wings of Eagles International Fellowship of Christian and Jews; 309 W.
