My deepest condolences during difficult times. Lorna and I went to K9,and Kubasaki . She was a truly good person, and I’m deeply saddened by your loss. Steve Murray
I have been so deeply saddened to hear of “Auntie” Lorna’s passing. She was always such a happy person and had the most infectious smile and personality. I knew her through my younger brothers being in baseball with Dante and Eric and we were able to see each other again when she was at Starbucks. My condolences to Lorna’s family during this time. Hope to see you again….
Like many here I also attended Kubasaki, was myself an Air Force brat on Kadena and though I didn’t know Lorna well as part of the Kubasaki family feel your loss. God Speed to her on the next part of her life’s journey.
Thank you for your sympathy during our time of loss. Your kind words are of great comfort to us as we try to come to terms with our sister’s/daughter’s death. I do remember you. I remember one day you were over at our house with some other friends visiting Lorna on KAFB and you had brought your guitar. You sang a couple of songs and the one I specifically remember was, “Sitting On the Dock of the Bay.”
I hope this is a good and proper way to reach out to all our family and friends at this time. Lorna and I graduated from Pittsburg High in ’74. We became very close that year and participated in a play called “Hair”. It was the tail end of the “Flower Power” era where we learned to share the joy of “Peace and Love” to others. We also double dated to our “Senior Ball” and I have very fond memories of all those times. Lorna and some family came to visit Tucson this past summer and spent a day at my dads filled with games and joy and laughter. This is how I always remember our family. Sad to say, I won’t be there today due to my physical restrictions, but will be there spiritually to pay my last respects to a cousin that I loved very much. With love to all, Jay R Jayme
Dear Arrivas and Tanouye families, Please accept my deepest condolences. I will always cherish the time Lorna and I spent together in at Kubasaki High School. She was such a darling person, always so friendly, happy, and funny. Big hugs and much love, Jamie Fouss
Your all time favorite movie, Beauty and the Beast will be opening soon in the theater and you were excited about seeing it…this film will forever remind me of you especially because you liked the message it conveyed. I miss you dear sister and still haven’t come to terms with losing you. I will watch this film and laugh and cry at all the parts that touched you and remember…
My daughter Lorna was conceived in Germany and born at Fort Riley, Kansas. We were U.S Air Force family bonding and living in the Continental U>S and Okinawa Japan…As a military brat she is bright, kind, helpful and humble. She was always ready, able and willing to help me as time goes by…I will miss her so much but in time we will meet again in another world…
Dear Mr. Arrivas. I was Lorna’s classmate at Kubasaki High School. I first met her at K-9 and we became friends when I moved to Kadena AB. Lorna was unforgettable with her infectious smile, and was always positive and fun – she was a bright shining star. I am so very very sad for your loss, and I wish I could know more about her life as we lost touch in the 90s. If you would care to email me, I am at [email protected] God bless you and your family. June (Johnston) Bardwil class of ’74. PS I am uploading a newspaper article on the Photos & Video page.
