Loreto Del Rosario De Guzman's Obituary
Maria Loreto de Guzman passed away on April 3, 2014 of old age at the age of 92. She was born November 16, 1921 in Donacion, Angat, Bulacan. Her mother was Segunda del Rosario and her father was Catalino del Rosario. At age 29, she married Vivencio de Guzman from Taboc, Angat, Bulacan Philippines. She had four children, three daughters-in-law and one son-in-law: Ricardo and Aurora de Guzman of Antioch; Fil and Emma de Guzman of Fremont; Max and Marieta de Guzman of Antioch; Elizabeth and Noli Del Rosario of Fremont. She has eleven grandchildren and four great grand children: Pinky, Maria Fritzie Grace (deceased), Bong, Beverly, Bernadette, JR, Ruel, Vanessa, Joseph, Jona, Jamie and Jeffrey (deceased). The great grandchildren are: Julian, Sydney, Tyler and Tyson. Maria Loreto del Rosario de Guzman aka “Eto” was a good wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, aunt and friend to everyone who cross her path. From a young age, Loreto would pray for the dead in our town. She has the whole prayer memorized by heart. She had Ric in 1950, Fil in 1956, Max in 1960 and Beth in 1966. She is a very smart lady full of energy and ideas on how to make sure she didn’t do without due to the fact that she was already 23years old during WWII. She took her first airplane ride in 1977 when she was petitioned by Kuya Ric to the states. Her first job was ironing at a laundry facility in SSF. After 2 years her three other children arrived. Inang decided to work with Tatang sa Greenfield, Stockton at iba pa. Then in 1983 they bought their house in Delano where they planted all kinds of vegestables from patola to upo, talong, sitaw, patane, pakwan, mane, mustasa, okra, kalabasa at iba pa. They lived in Delano for 28 years then in 2011 they moved closer to their children. In March 1, 2011, we had to place her at Windsor Park Rehab Center. It was really hard for her because she was not able to make suman anymore. Her beloved husband decided to be with her in November 2011 at Windsor Park. Then on April 2, 2014 she was hospitalized and the next day at 11:15am her body gave up. She was truly blessed because her life was very smooth. She look at life in a different way. Hard work did not matter to her. We are very proud of our mother for all of her hard work, caring, giving, understanding and loving ways. She will be forever in our heart and mind. “Thank you mother for being a good teacher to all of us your left behind.” Viewing will be held on April 8,2014 and April 9,2014 at Chapel of the Chimes of Hayward 2292 Mission Blvd, Hayward, Ca 94544 from 5pm-9pm. The mass will be held on April 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. James Catholic Church, 24700 Fremont Blvd, Fremont, and Ca 94555. Burial will follow at 12:00 noon at Chapel of Chimes.
