Goodnight mom! Rest in peace?Lolita Tamondong Bie. You will always be with us in our thoughts and our prayers. And?even as we continue to mourn your sudden departure, we can also celebrate your beautiful inspiring life. I?m still very saddened by the loss of my mom and I miss her very much. But as I reflect on the life of the most remarkable woman I?ve known, I can?t help but to smile and remember the many fun and memorable moments that we have shared. Lita to her friends was a very kind, generous and compassionate woman. She enjoyed life with her family, friends and pets. Besides her dentistry and mentorship, she loved to bowl, sing, ballroom dance, host parties, show off her karate moves and make you laugh. Most of all, she was a loyal friend and a good Samaritan to anyone who may have needed her help. Thinking of all that my mom has accomplished in her life and all the things that she strived to do, I really admired her for her perseverance. She had many good times and lots of success, but she also had some tough breaks along the way. But she was a very strong and determined individual who did it her way. She was proud of her Filipino heritage and involved herself in many Phil Am organizations and mentorship programs. She helped other aspiring dentists and students of dentistry get started with their careers. She helped countless others in their business endeavors. She was also known for helping those in the community that could not afford dental care. Unfortunately, some also took advantage of her generosity and yet she found a way to forgive them. Lolita was stern and at times pretty stubborn. Yet she was still able to instill her motherly love in each of us. She passed along her compassionate ways and always stressed the importance of education. Wanting us to strive to be the best and yet remembering to be humble. She was a strict teacher growing up. But also fair when she disciplined. She was like that not only to us, her kids but to our friends as well. We had many friends who at one point or another was down on their luck or needed a place to stay, if only for awhile. Mom had no problems taking them in, supporting them like they were her own until they got back on their feet. But if you got out of line with her, she would definitely let you know. Mom was a wonderful person and we learned so many things from her. She was a loving mother, a great friend and mentor. She touched each of us with her free spirit and soulful smile. I will always cherish the memories. I love you mom?it?s not a goodbye…just a?goodnight! – Chi
