Lloyd Philip Swanson a Castro Valley, California resident entered into rest April 29, 2003 in Hayward, California. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 6, 1922, he was 81 years of age. He enjoyed gardening and dancing. He was a WWII Army Veteran, member of Veteran of Foreign Wars and the American Legion. He worked for Western Pacific Railroad for 43 years. Loving father of Marie Alexander of Castro Valley. Dear brother of Carl Swanson of Washington. Devoted grandfather of two grandchildren. His wife Connie Swanson of 43 years, two sisters; Margaret Pennington and Nell Dickson and one brother; Pete Swanson preceded him in death.Visitation will be held Friday, May 2, 2003 from 5:00-8:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward. Friends are welcome to attend a Funeral service Saturday, May 3, 2003 at 9:30 a.m. in the Reflection Chapel at Chapel of the Chimes Funeral Home.
