Linda Teruko Hirayama's Obituary
Linda Teruko Hirayama was born on October 22nd, 1965 in Oakland at Oak Knoll
Hospital to Toshi Kobayashi (mother), and Masakazu “Harry” Hirayama (father). She
grew up in Hayward California, where she went to Treeview Elementary, La Vista Middle
School, and Tennyson High School alongside her siblings Adrienne (sister) and Keichi
(brother). Linda was the youngest of four children.
Through her 20s up until her final physical transition she was known by her family to
have a strong eye for fashion, and to be a creative and artistic person in her own right.
She enjoyed looking at fashion magazines, and followed current fashion trends. She
also enjoyed Victorian style clothing, porcelain dolls, and appreciated fashion and
architecture from that era.
Linda enjoyed spending time with her mother, walking through Southland Mall finding
fashionable outfits, and makeup from Mervyn’s, JCPenney’s, and Macy’s. Linda was
known by her family to be a very loving person. Through her mother’s elder years, she
spent time supporting and helping her mother- caring for her, being her guide and best
friend.
Linda is remembered by her nephew’s Rodrael and Randall to be one of the most
happiest and sweetest people they know. Linda spent a lot of time with Rodrael
drawing pictures, playing board games, watching movies (her favorite being Titanic),
and baking goods during his childhood. She enjoyed watching Rodrael’s personal style
and his colorful outfits and would ask him for fashion advice. Randall remembers
Linda’s laugh, and smiling constantly with a child-like joy. Linda always found both of
their pictures and laughed while reminiscing on her nephew’s being babies.
Most recently, she spent a lot of time with her grand niece (Giselle) and her grand
nephew (RJ/Randall Jr.). Giselle grew very close to Linda as Giselle played Barbie,
make up, and dress up with her- as both Linda and Giselle are known to be the “girly
girls” of the family. Giselle even helped Linda create a dress.
Linda will be missed dearly by her sister Adrienne. Adrienne remember’s Linda’s silly
jokes, character voices, quirky dances, and youthful energy. She remembers Linda
coming into her room and waking her up to reminisce on their childhood memories.
Adrienne will miss being woken up by Linda in the middle of night.
Linda will be equally missed by her brother Keichi as they spent the last few years
listening to 70s, and 80s music- while enjoying keeping up with reality TV.
Linda didn’t have the opportunity to meet the newest member of her family- Rael (her
great nephew)- however, she has now become his guardian angel. Ultimately, Linda
will continue to watch and protect her family and will bring them smiles and laughter with
every precious memory. She is survived through Adrienne Guadalupe (sister), Keichi
Hirayama (brother), Rodrael Guadalupe (nephew), Randall Guadalupe (nephew),
Shyann Pangelinan (niece in law), Giselle Guadalupe (great niece), Randall Guadalupe
Jr. (great nephew), Chetina Guadalupe (niece in law), Rael Guadalupe (great nephew),
and Masae Kobayashi (older sister).
Linda will be greatly missed- however, her family is finding peace knowing that she is no
longer suffering in sickness, distress, and is at eternal peace alongside her parents.
