Lewis Albert Wright's Obituary
Lewis (Lew) Albert Wright Sept. 8, 1934 Apr. 15, 2012 Resident of San Lorenzo Lew was born September 8, 1934 in Kenedy, TX to Lewis Wright and Pearl Higgins. He served in the US Navy from 1952 to 1956, and then married Carol Barr in 1959 in Vancouver, WA. He began working for Nabisco in Portland, OR in 1959 and transferred to the Oakland, CA Shredded Wheat plant in 1969. He retired from Nabisco in 1991 and later worked for Peck and Hills Furniture in Oakland from 1991 to 1998. When his children were young, Lew served as committee chairman in the Boy Scouts and coached his sons in Little League. In his retired years, he loved doing crossword puzzles, working in his yard, and spending time with his grandchildren. Lew is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol Wright; his sons David (Barbara) Wright, Kevin (Kristen) Wright, daughter Karen Parento and grandchildren Taryn Wright, David Parento and Anya Wright. Services will be held on Tuesday April 24, 2012 at 1:30 pm, Chapel of the Chimes 32992 Mission Blvd Hayward, CA in the Reflections Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that you make a donation to your favorite charity in Lew’s name.
