Leslie Olson's Obituary
Leslie was born in Manhattan, Kansas, to George and Thelma Olson, but was raised in Yakima, Washington. He served and retired from the US Navy for 24 dedicated years. After his retirement with the Navy, he became an Electrician for the City of Hayward from whcih he retired after 20 years.He enjoyed his family, woodworking, and cruising the seas with his beloved wife.Leslie is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Dorothy, 5 children, Karen (Tim), Barbara (Ron), Jim (Adele), Dotti (Doug), Beckie (Craig), 18 grandchildren, and 34 great grandchildren.Leslie passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family on September 27, 2012, in his home.Family and Friends are invited to a Funeral Service on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at 1:30 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes in Hayward.He will live on in our hearts forever.
