Leroy Marzett's Obituary
Remembering the life of Reverend Leroy Marzett, Sr.Born to the Union of Earnestine Singleton and Theodore Roosevelt Marzett on February 4, 1931 in Okemah, Oklahoma.He was educated in Boley and IXL Oklahoma and completed his education in the U.S. Army including attending Golden Gate Theological Seminary.He accepted Christ at an early age. After completing Seminary school, he united with Mt. Carmel M.B. Church in Oakland, Ca. under the leadership of Reverend James Owens. His church home was Mt. Pilgrim M.B. Church in Sacramento, CA. under the leadership of Rev. Roosevelt Brown.He leaves to cherish his loving memory nine children; Leroy Marzett, Jr. (New Mexico); Earnestine Levolia (Henry Bennett, Jr.) ; Lee Edward; Edna Mae (Tyrone Johnson); Gloria Jean (George Setchell); Richard Lee (Atlanta, GA.); Leroy, Jr. (Marion), (Germany) : Geraldine ( Hayward, CA.) and Marcella Mary (Oklahoma). Preceding him in death are two sons; Robert Lee (twin of Richard) and Theodore Roosevelt ('Teddy'). Ten Grandchildren; Three great grandchildren; Two God sons; a loving and devoted sister Levolia Singleton-Logan(Chicago, Illinois); a devoted and caring friend in Christ, Fannie Ruben (San Francisco, CA.) He loved his Kinfolks and leaves a host of Relatives and friends around the world.Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services 1:30 pm Wednesday December 31, 2003 at Chapel of the Chimes funeral home, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA. 94544.Committal to follow at Chapel of the Chimes Memorial park.
