Lena Perez, 91 years of age, of Hayward, California, entered into Paradise May 7, 2019.Lena was born in San Francisco, California, April 18, 1928 as Paolina Devincenzi, and was the last surviving sister of 5 daughters.She was a devoted wife to John Carmona Perez, her beloved husband of 64 years. Since January 2012, John has been waiting in Paradise for their reunion.Lena had a passion for everything lovely. She was an avid gardener, kept a meticulous home, and enjoyed cooking, family gatherings, laughter, and the beauty of nature experienced by water skiing, and outings in their RV together along with their adorable dog, Charley.Lena was a staunch advocate of “common sense”, preventing problems aka risk management, being efficient, appropriate, and keeping every thing in order. This came naturally, and made her a valuable employee as a Production/Assembly Technician for companies such as Schlage Lock, Catepillar, Inc. and Garco.She is survived by her daughter, Linda Larson, Grandson Dr. Wm. John Rose, M.D., (and wife Nina), and great-grandchildren; Paolina, Gianna, John and Nicholas; and many adoring nieces and nephews.Memorial services will be held at 10:30 am, Friday, May 31, 2019, at St. Joachims Catholic Church 21250 Hesperian Blvd. Hayward, CA 94541.
