Miss Pat is truly an excellent woman – spiritual, capable, intelligent, and virtuous (Proverbs 10:31 amplified version). She was the first older woman I met who was very business savvy, and thought about, and had a plan for her retirement. I always admired that about her. She was sensible, appreciated what she had, loved her family, and took good care of all that God blessed her to have. Miss Pat took me in and gave me a “West coast family” when I relocated to the Bay area. I cherish the meals, tea (for her) and coffee (for me) that we shared at her breakfast table. She dropped some great wisdom on me during those times. She was a funny lady too. I remember the time I first visited her church, Palma Ceia. She was driving her Mercedes on this back road I was wondering where we were headed. I can’t remember the name of the street but she jokingly told me that was her road. And she was right because not a car was in sight the whole time. Kai and Anika, you are blessed with an amazing mother! An awesome role model. Her kindness and wisdom are present in who you are. It was a privilege to have known Miss Pat. You two can just look at yourselves and look at one another and you’ll see your mom. She raised two beautiful and amazing daughters. Christ’s spirit of peace and comfort be with you, your spouses, children, and everyone who loved Miss Pat. Corliss Knowles
