Lani S. Lee's Obituary
Lani Sandra Lee, went to be with her Lord at the age of 76 years on October 8, 2018 after a brief illness in San Leandro, California. She was born in Oakland, California on December 8, 1941 to Dr. Edwin Yee and Laura Yee. Growing up in Oakland, she graduated from Fremont High School in 1960. She was married on July 7, 1968 to Robert D. Lee and settled in Union City to raise their family. Lani received her AA degree in computer programming/data processing from Ohlone College in June 1983. She worked as an instructional aide for the deaf/hard of hearing program at Oakland Unified School District for over 20 years. She enjoyed bowling leagues growing up, as well as various arts and crafts. After retirement, she traveled with family, participated in various church activities, attended bear shows, and did many word search puzzles.Lani was survived by her children, Susan Smith and her husband Stanley, and Dennis Lee, along with her sister, Janice Chinn and her husband Alan. Lani was loved my many nieces, nephews, cousins and family members. Lani is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Edwin Yee and Laura Yee, and her husband, Robert D. Lee.Funeral arrangements will be held at 11:00 am on October 25, 2018 at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd.Hayward, with internment after the service. Memorial donations may be made to your chosen organization in Lani’s honor.
