Kerri Ellen Berry's Obituary
It comes with a heavy heart to announce that Kerri Ellen Berry, 64, Wife, Sister and Mother, has passed away from a hard battle against a rare & aggressive bile duct cancer. The cancer took her life within 9 short months, and she fought hard but passed on Friday, March 15, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones while at home on Hospice. Kerri loved her family and friends and touched everyone’s life from her ever-pouring heart of generosity.
Kerri grew up in Fremont, Ca and was born in Lodi Ca. to parents Liz and Ellis Mertins. She received her AA in Photography from Ohlone College and later owned and operated her own Coffee Shop, Newark Java. She loved her dogs and cats, chocolate, ghost mysteries and grew up as an award-winning swimmer. She also loved Lake Tahoe and visiting the ocean. She loved dolphins and whales and dreamed of traveling the world in retirement; except God took Kerri home early.
Kerri is survived by her husband, Hemant Berry, of 45 years and her daughter Nikhila Berry, and two sons Nathan Berry and Chaten Berry, daughter in law, Karina Berry and grandchildren Noah Berry and Maya Berry. Kerri was also a loving big sister to Kolleen and Mike Ledterman and Kellyn Furman and sister-in-law to Anjali Bower, Ahba and Sanjiv Berry as well as loving aunt to Sarina Bower, Suhana Berry & Kelsea Ledterman.
