I was unaware of kermits sickness and am truly sorry to hear about his death. I too am currently battleing cancer (hence I’ve been out of the scene for the past 4 months) but seem to be winning the battle. I will truly miss his warm friendship and wonderful photos. He was very sincere, had a great personality and a wonderful dancer.RIP Kermit, you are trully missed.##imported-begin##Tulsa##imported-end##

I had the pleasure of meeting Kermit in Washington DC at an event approximately 2-3 years before I moved to San Francisco. He was so gracious to me, and made me feel welcome in the Bay Area. He took plenty of pictures of myself, Lou, and also our daughter when she was growing up. We always had at least one dance at every event or place we would see one another. He was the greatest. I know we will miss him greatly, and his work will be missed as well. We love you, Kermit. You are one of a kind. LOVE ALWAYS,##imported-begin##Rita Nichols and Lou Caires##imported-end##
Dance events will NOT be the same without Kermit. Such a good friend to all, a hard worker and a man with such a generous spirit. We’re going to miss you Kermit.##imported-begin##Joe and Linda Fabian##imported-end##
Kermit, we will miss you so much. Some of our best memories of dance were captured perfectly by you and are hanging in our hallway. You were always there, always helpful, always gracious and cheerful. You have become one of the icons of the dance community…rest in peace.Sharon and Roy Johnson##imported-begin##Sharon and Roy Johnson##imported-end##
Kermit has captured so many joyful moments for all of the dance community. He was there for all the dancers and added to the dance community in so many ways. I will miss him but am thankful that I knew him. I have pictures that he took at various competitions that I will always cherish.##imported-begin##Pam Turnbull##imported-end##

Kermit and I had many a good time together. He was kind, courteous, considerate, and very gentlemanly. We laughed a lot. He was gratefulthat I ââ?¬Å?forcedââ?¬Â him to visit Taliesen West with me.He scared the sh** outta me in Smyrna when we had breakfast at theWaffle House across from the hotel. He and a very young, very cute andpetite white waitress were loudly exchanging very humorous, flirtatious, and risquÃ?© banter heard by all. It was all very witty, clever, and funny BUT I kept sotto voce pleading with him to ââ?¬Å?Shut up, Kermit. They’ll fu****’ lynch us!ââ?¬Â He knew The New South was different.http://iclast.net/Articles/TheSouth.htmlKermit ââ?¬Â¦ and I are a bit more than just acquaintances having been roomand meal mates a great many times over the years. We’ve also shoppedand toured together. I’ve also served in his stead when he wanted totake a break ââ?¬Â¦ Hell, we’ve even danced together!2/28/01, I said:I am, in the words of Kermit, ââ?¬Å?a convention junkieââ?¬Â.##imported-begin##Icono Clast##imported-end##
