Kathryn Louise Rogers' Obituary
Kathryn "Kay" Rogers, 73 passed away at her daughter, Sheila's residence in San Diego, California on Thursday, March 20, 2003. Kathryn was born in Coalgate, Oklahoma on February 14, 1930. She has been a resident of Hayward, California for 56 years. She was a graduate of Hayward High School in Hayward, California. She was a prominent businesswoman in Hayward, California for 10 years she owned and operated a lingerie shop. She and her husband loved to travel and dance. Their friends knew them as the "King & Queen of Swing". They loved to entertain for their friends and family for social gatherings. Kathryn will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Please remember and hold her in your hearts.Kathryn was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 33 years, Richard Rogers on May 16, 1991. She was a devoted and loving mother to her three daughters and her two son-in-laws, Sheila & John McDonnell of San Diego, California, Sharon & George Raymond of Livermore, California and Stacy Watts of Hayward, California. She is also survived by her two sisters and a brother, Sybil Chubbuck and Betty Wiley both of Oklahoma and Paul Fletcher of California. Kathryn was a proud grandmother of three grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law, Matthew & Jill Maresca of San Ramon, California, Brooke Campos of Chico, California and Sheila Ruenz of San Bruno, California. She also leaves behind three precious great-grandchildren, Angela, Michael and Donald.Following the deceased's wishes, no public services will be held.
