Kathleen Stevens' Obituary
Resident of Hayward Joyce (Kathleen) Stevens 82, Hayward, CA, passed away peacefully after her long battle with various forms of cancer on July 27, 2008. Joyce is survived by her loving son Craig Rhodes and his wife Lori and her grandson Andrew Rhodes and his wife Nikki. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother to her daughter Cheryl (deceased) and son Craig, and grandson Andrew, Joyce has many extended family members throughout the United States as well as friends from her senior citizens choir group, mobile home center, and Oakland Booster Club. Joyce was an avid Oakland A’s fan. She was a very courageous and inspiring woman who persevered to defeat breast and colon cancer. Joyce will be dearly missed. Her family and friends are invited to celebrate her life with a viewing on Thursday, July 31st from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm and a funeral service on Friday, August 1st at 1:30 pm at the Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Blvd., Hayward, CA (510) 471-3363.
