KATHERINE WONG's Obituary
Katherine (Katy) C. Wong Resident of HaywardKaty passed away on Sunday of natural causes at the age of 86. Katy was born in Honolulu, HI, graduated from McKinkley High School in 1946. She was a homemaker most of her life. When Katy was nine or ten, she worked at the family’s laundry business in Kakaako. After Katy got married, she worked at the controller’s office at Alexander Young Hotel. She moved to Hayward in 1960, worked at the Hunt-Wesson cannery, and later at a candy factory where they made Jack LaLanne Hi-Protein bars and at American Drapery. Katy is survived by her devoted children Dennis Wong (Jocelyn) of Hayward, Kathleen (Kathy) Vernon (Larry) of Grover Beach, Wesley Wong (Simona) of Union City, Renee Nasario (Gerald) of Hayward, Linda Joyce Carvallyo (James) of Hayward and 14 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, preceded in death by her husband Clifford Wong and her daughter Deborah (Debbie) Weise. She is also survived by her sister Mary Jay of Honolulu, HI. Her generous loving spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Friends and family are invited to a visitation and funeral service on Sunday July 27, 2014 at 09:00 a.m. to 02:00 p.m. at Chapel of the Chimes, 32992 Mission Boulevard. in Hayward. Burial to follow.
