Katherine Edwards' Obituary
Katherine Edwards, (Kay) passed away peacefully at home on Friday, July 04, 2014. She was 101.Kay was born to Karl and Elisa Nyheim, March 29, 1913, in Minnesota. She was the 8th of 10 children. She moved to California in 1939 to live with her brother. She then married Norman Edwards in 1942, and they lived together in Oakland, California.A resident of Pleasanton for 37 years, Kay was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church and volunteered at Kaiser. She was a loving mother to two children: Diane Bray, of Pleasanton and Bob Edwards, of San Ramon. She also is survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Our family lovingly referred to her as, “Nannie”.A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 1:00 pm at Chapel of the Chimes Cemetery in Hayward.
