Katherine Dugger's Obituary
Katherine Dugger, 87 passed away on April 1, 2016 in Manteca, CA. She was born in Gilliam, Arkansas and was raised in Weatherford, Texas where she picked cotton with her family. Katherine maintained several residencies throughout her years that included Oakland, CA, Portland, OR, and Monroe, OK. Katherine was never afraid of hard work. It wasn’t unusual for her to paint the inside and outside of a house by herself. When she wasn’t hard at work, she enjoyed raising her daughters and then watching her great grandkids grow right before her eyes. She was known for having a love for country music, cooking and dancing. She was preceded in death by her husband Roscoe Dugger, daughter Carolyn Dugger, grandson Kevin Hurd, seven siblings, and parents Wade & Evie Jones. She was survived by her daughter Rita Dingle (husband Fred), grandson Bryan Batterson (wife Trina) and grand-daughter Desiree Dingle. Katherine had twelve great grand children with one on the way. She also had a very special place in her heart for her niece Virginia Sanders. Her daughter Rita would like to personally thank the nurses and CNA’s from St. Jude’s Care Center for taking such good care of her and loving her. She will be missed.
