Karen Wegstein's Obituary
It is with great sadness we share the loss of Karen Georgette Wegstein, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grand mother, sister, aunt and friend.Karen was born in 1948 in Gilroy California and went home to be with our Lord on February 23, 2019. Karen was in the first graduating class of Kennedy High School located in Fremont California in 1966. Karen loved the Bay Area and Oregon and resided in both.She is survived by her beloved husband of more than 50 years, Ron Wegstein and their son Richard Wegstein; her sister Stephanie Tomasello; her brother Laurence and his wife Sabrena Ferguson; and sister Laurel Ferguson. Her grand children Sara, Kevin, Devin, Karen, Raven and Ricky and her great grandson Quintion. Her nieces Melanie and her husband Loren Hill, Lee Ann Drexel, Susanne and her husband Mike Courtroul and Rebecca Ferguson and her nephew Nicholas Tomasello and additional Aunts, Uncles, great nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents George and Jo Ann Ferguson and son Kevin Wegstein.Karen loved and appreciated beautiful things and was an avid collector. She enjoyed antiquing and finding that special treasure to add to her collection or as a gift for a loved one. She enjoyed cooking for those she loved and was really good at it too. Karen enjoyed traveling and going on adventures with Ron and their furry companions.Karen will be sorely missed here on earth, but we all know we will meet her again someday in heaven.
