Kabir Kanhaya Singh's Obituary
Our beloved Kabir Kanhaya Singh died peacefully on Dec 4, 2024 at the age of 39. Kabir was born on Dec 30, 1984 in Portland, Oregon to Kulbir and Anita Singh at Emanuel Medical Center. He grew up in Lake Oswego, Oregon followed by a move to San Diego, California and then Bombay, India before settling in Fremont, California where he attended Mission San Jose High School. This is when he realized his passion and talent for stand-up comedy which led to a career spanning over 2 decades. He has headlined major comedy clubs around the world, has been featured on NBC’s Last Comic Standing, Comedy Central and Starz as well as having a comedy special on Amazon Prime. Kabir gained national attention on America’s Got Talent in 2021 after receiving a standing ovation and advanced as a semi-finalist.
In addition to making people laugh, Kabir’s other interests were travel and sports that included a strong love and loyalty for the Portland Trail Blazers.
Kabir is survived by his loving mother, Anita K Singh and 2 sisters, Malini Kishen Singh and Sonya Kulbir Singh who will deeply and painfully miss his warm smile and laugh. His father and first fan, Kulbir Singh, is deceased from 2009.
