Julio P Abadia's Obituary
Julio P. Abadia was born in Escuintla, Guatemala on April 12, 1948. He’s preceded in death by his parents Abelino and Graciela Abadia and his brother Pedro Enrique. He’s survived by his wife of 47 years Argentina (Katina), his daughters Claudia and Kathy, son-in-law Jesse, and grandchildren Jesse Jr., Alicia, Cristina, and Mateo. Also siblings Zoila, Argen, Raquel, Rosi, Alicia, Ileana, Abelino, and Antonio.Julio graduated as a school teacher in Guatemala. In 1971 he immigrated with his wife to the United States and in 1979 he accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savior. In 2004 he retired from EBMUD where he worked as a Meter Repair and Testing Supervisor.For several decades Julio was an active member of Primera Iglesia Bautista El Buen Pastor in Oakland. For the past ten years he was an active member of Church of the Valley in San Ramon.Julio enjoyed working on home projects, traveling the world with his wife, volunteering his time at church, and more than anything spending time and taking care of his grandchildren.Julio’s smile is unforgettable. He will be deeply missed.
