I got the privilege to met your dad at your place and truly believe he was a great family man that shared his values with his family and friends and that leaves a legacy to his family. I am learning now that my grandpa touched alot of people’s hearts throught his life. He welcomed people with open arms, he helped many. My grandpa was a solid, hard working, healthy, respectful, loving man. He was all about family & casinos! Family always came first. And if it were up to him he would be at the casinos every weekend. Mi abuelo siempre se preocupaba por nuestro futuro. Cada vez que me veia me preguntaba, “mija, y cuando vas a acabar tu escuela y cuanto vas a ganar” ? It breaks my heart that you are no longer physically here with us but I know that you are watching over us and you always will be. You loved us all very much. You told me many times that you loved my son dearly, and for that I am blessed. Im grateful for learning what i learned in nursing school to comfort you and help as you as much as possible. My heart told me God would need you soon and knew that you needed me and thats why i was by your side when you needed me the most. Although it was very hard to see you the last 2 days, i am happy that i spent as much time as i did with you. I was not able to complete all your wishes the last few days and I am sorry. I was holding your arm when you took your last breath and thats something i will never forget grandpa, i will never forget you. We love you & miss you grandpa but i am at peace knowing that you are resting now!
Papito you will be missed very much by all.. We know that putting you to rest this week will not be easy but we will try to celebrate your life versus mourn.. All your grandchildren loved you very much & you were still continuing to look and ask for them as long as you possibly could.. Heaven truly has gained an angel & we know even there you will continue to ask for your grandchildren.. We love you now & for forever.. Rest in peace..
I still cannot believe it – How can such a beautiful person be gone….perhaps, God needed an angel. When I lost my father more than 20 years ago, I didn’t think twice and immediately dialed my uncles phone. With tears in my eyes, I mentioned dad was gone. He was there faster than I can remember. See that’s the thing… he was always there for us. I knew I can count on him. He was a rock … a solid rock. As I share many memories with my aunt Eva, his kids, his family – there are so many stories. Stories of good times, silly times, stories of discipline, stories of support, stories of a man who opened his heart to everyone, without questions or stereo types. We are were just people and as long as you were good in our hearts – we were in his family. How lucky were we. I feel blessed to have grown up with you and your beautiful family. I will forever miss you.
