Julia Elaine Zukoski, 90, passed away September 24, 2017 in Antioch, California.There will be a rosary Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 7pm at Chapel of the Chimes Mission Chapel, 32992 Mission Blvd, Hayward, CA.A funeral mass will be held at St Clements Catholic Church, 750 Calhoun Street, Hayward, CA on Friday, September 29, 2017 at 9:30 am. A reception immediately follows at St Clements.Julia was born in California to George & Gladys Rice on October 1, 1926. She attended Fremont High and Merritt Business School. She then attended Community College in Sacramento and graduated with her AA degree. Before her marriage to Vincent Joseph Zukoski, she worked at Standard Oil as a secretary.She married Vincent June 28, 1947. They settled in San Lorenzo, CA, where she was a loving wife and devoted mother to their 6 children, Joy Marie, Robert Vincent, John Paul, Jeannine Ann, Kathleen Marie, and Michael Steven.Julia is preceded in death by her mother, Gladys Jackman, her husband, Vincent; two sisters, Delma Mart and Phyllis Ryan and her beautiful daughter Joy Marie.Julia is survived by her children Robert with wife Lori, John with wife Terrie, Jeannine with husband Steve, Kathleen and Michael; her grandchildren, Tracy, Kimberly, Robert Jr, Tara, Christopher, Andrew, Daniel, John Jr, Brian, Matthew, Rebecca, Angela, Daniel, Christina, Melissa and Julie; 9 great grandchildren; two nieces, Jacqueline Mart, Sherry Ryan and one nephew, Thomas Emmett Ryan.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 500 Fairview Ave, Brentwood, CA 94513.
